Alejandro González Iñárritu’s 'Birdman or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance' will close out the festival on October 12th, just five days before the film opens in limited release on October 17th.
The black comedy stars Michael Keaton, Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, Emma Stone and Naomi Watts. This marks Iñárritu’s third time at the festival, having previously screened Amores Perros (2000) and 21 Grams (2003). The Fox Searchlight Pictures and New Regency releasing the film.
NYFF 2014 runs from September 26th – October 12th.
