Santa Barbara Outstanding performer of the year - Cate Blanchett
Tribute to Blanchett's performance in Blue Jasmine will take place at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on the 1st of February 2014, where she'll be bestowed their Outstanding Performer of the Year award.
Santa Barbara International Film Festival to honor their Montecito Award to Oprah Winfrey for her supporting turn in Lee Daniels' The Butler. The award goes to an actor for career achievement in acting in a year in which they have given a particularly strong performance. Last year, the award went to Daniel Day-Lewis.
Their Modern Master is bestowed Emma Thompson who is earning raves for her performance in Saving Mr. Banks.
Their Career Achievement Award goes to Bruce Dern who's earning lot of praise for his work in Nebraska.
Joe Letteri, Peter Jackson and their co-founded Visual Effects Company -Weta Digital to be honored with Producers Guild of American 2014 Vanguard Award.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival, which will host its 25th season from the 3rd to the 13th of January, will bestow its Desert Palm Awards for actor and actress to Matthew McConaughey and Sandra Bullock.
